Today’s Guest: Chad Cherry, singer, The Last Vegas
One day you’re just one among 10,000 anonymous rock bands on earth, slogging it out for recognition.
The next day you wake up and you’re on tour with Motley Crue and they’re talking about passing the heavy metal crown of thorns on to you, same as Ozzy Osbourne once passed it to them.
Must have been one helluva night, right?
Joining me today is Chad Cherry, lead singer for a rising metal band called The Last Vegas. They won a national competition called the Guitar Center On Stage contest that attracted 8,000 entries and concluded with them being picked by the guys in the Crue for a contract with their record label and a spot opening for them on tour.
And, as you’ll hear in a few minutes when I play their first single, “I’m Bad,” they’re pretty damn good.
It’s one of those crazy stories that could only happen in America.
