In 2012, Jim Romenesko left his long-running media news column for Poynter Online. When Poynter went in search of a replacement, one of the week-long tryouts went to a guy who already had “media” in his name — me, Mr. Media.
It was a fun week, full of editorial cartoonists being charged with plagiarism. One of the folks I interviewed for coverage was syndicated Akron Beacon Journal and Tampa Bay Times cartoonist Chip Bok.
