Today’s Guest: Joe Posa, reality TV star, “Scrappers”
It’s a show about guys who collect scrap metal in Brooklyn. It’s a show about two guys in particular throwing castoff hot water heaters, bicycles, refrigerators and construction materials in the back of a worn-out van.
And you know what? It’s funny as hell. Take the kids from MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” give them jobs and this might be what you get.
On paper, this sounds like a ridiculous idea for a TV show. But on TV, it’s brilliant slice-o’-life stuff.
Joining me today to talk about “Scrappers,” the new reality TV comedy series airing on Spike TV every Tuesday at 10 p.m. is Joe Posa, co-owner of Scrappers USA with Frankie “Noots” Fidilio.
JOE POSA podcast excerpt: “None a that is scripted at all. It is fun. And it only gets funnier, believe me. Brooklyn is funny… you’re dealing with so many crazy people. It makes for good TV, I’ll tell you that.”
