Today’s podcast is a lost-and-found item; recorded on September 27, 2008, live at Blog Orlando, an “Unconference” held at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, it has been missing in action–albeit hiding in plain sight in the archives of my old BlogTalkRadio account–for more than a decade.
It was a fun day, the first time I hosted Mr. Media® as a live remote, thanks to the then-advanced technology of BTR. It was also the first time I juggled four guests, each of whom was standing close by to me but had to call in to the show from their cell phones.Ah, high tech!
Appearing on this episode, in order, are:
• J.C. Hutchins, science fiction novelist;
• Dana Willhoit, freelance writer and internet marketer;
• Michael Hinman, podcaster, “Syfy Radio”;
• and Tommy Duncan, blogger, “Sticks of Fire.”
Of the four, I was able to find somewhat current information about all but Tommy Duncan, who seems to have dropped from sight. Hutchins, for example, is still publishing his sci-fi novels. Willhoit is a presence on the web, but her business is a bit vague. And Hinman sold his podcast’s name to the Syfy Channel years ago and is now editor-in-chief at Riverdale Press in New York City. You can learn more about them by clicking on the links below.
I hope you enjoy the show!
