Hear it now!ELISHA CUTHBERT AUDIO EXCERPT: "When you come from a show like '24,' the bar is raised pretty high. Working with Christian before, I knew I was coming into a professional place and I knew it would be a lot of fun... My commitments to '24' are completed now. I think the door is still open, but it's trickier for them because they have to work around 'The Forgotten.'"

It seems like movie star Christian Slater has at last found solid footing on network television. His ABC series, “The Forgotten,” got off to an admittedly slow start in the ratings when it debuted last fall, but the network stayed with it and so has a growing audience.

Now the show stands to get a boost from the addition of a familiar face: Elisha Cuthbert, who we saw grow up over eight seasons—or days, if you will—of the Fox series, “24.” She’s joining "The Forgotten" as of Tuesday, February 9 in the recurring role of Maxine Denver.

The sound you hear is a million Elisha fanboys around the world giving thanks to God.

Surgeon General's Warning: Hollywood is Dangerous to Your Health! (TV Guide)

Bookmark and Share
Here's something I bet you didn't know: Becoming a TV star will stunt your growth!

It's true, it's true. And here's how I know: the two latest issues of TV Guide magazine.

I was a little suspicious last week when the "Fall Preview" issue (September 8) featured the leading men of five new shows—Rufus Sewell ("Eleventh Hour"), Simon Baker ("The Mentalist"); Christian Slater ("My Own Worst Enemy"), Joshua Jackson ("Fringe"), and Jason O'Mara ("Life On Mars")—were all eye-to-eye on the cover.

But when the latest issue—"Returning Favorites" (Sept. 15)—arrived today, lo and behold, all the women on that cover were also eye-to-eye! That's right, Brooke Shields ("Lipstick Jungle") and Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("The New Adventures of Old Christine") are the same height! And so are Kate Walsh ("Private Practice") and Emily Deschanel ("Bones")!

But wait! In an interior photo, Deschanel towers over Louis-Dreyfus!

More food for thought: Ryan Seacrest ("America Idol"), Jeff Probst ("Survivor") and Howie Mandel ("Deal or No Deal") are te same height in a group photo as Heidi Klum ("Project Runway")!

(Apparently the cast of "ER" must get its water supply shipped in from the Midwest, because its cast photos shows actors of a variety of heights.)

Is it Photoshop, or something more sinister? Is it a job for "House" or Columbo"?
